
No Revenge, Only Forgiveness
Story:
When Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was severely oppressed in Mecca, he was tortured by many of the Makkans. After the conquest of Makkah, when he returned victorious, he addressed his enemies saying, “You are free today.”
This was a remarkable example of forgiveness. There was no desire for revenge, only mercy and forgiveness.
Lesson:
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us that forgiveness is the greatest strength. When someone wrongs us, it is far more noble to forgive than to seek revenge.
The Beggar’s Help
Story:
Once, a beggar came to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) asking for help. The Prophet asked for money but had none. He then took off his cloak and sold it to help the beggar.
This was an example of his selfless charity, where he said, “In charity, there is Allah’s mercy.”
Lesson:
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us that to attain Allah’s mercy and satisfaction, we must always engage in charity, no matter how small.
Muhammad (PBUH) and the Tree
Story:
Once, as Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his companions were walking, a man with a tree shade approached him, wanting to rest there. A companion said, “The shade of this tree is sufficient for us!”
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) replied, “This is Allah’s creation, and it should only be used for peace and blessings, not for any wrong actions.”
Lesson:
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us that we must treat Allah’s creation and nature kindly and use them only for peaceful and constructive purposes.
Hazrat Ali (RA) and the Merchant
Story:
One day, Hazrat Ali (RA) bought goods from a merchant. The merchant made a mistake and demanded extra money. Hazrat Ali (RA) said to him, “If you speak the truth, I will return the extra money; but if you lie, I will punish you.”
The merchant found courage and confessed, “I have made a mistake; I will not take the extra money.”
This is an example of his commitment to truth and justice.
Lesson:
From this story, we learn that establishing truth and justice is one of our life’s main goals. Lies can never bring peace or prosperity.
The Promise of a Companion
Story:
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) once told his companions, “Remember, anyone who loves me with sincere faith will be my companion in Paradise.”
A companion came to him and said, “I have no money, how can I be your companion?”
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) replied, “If you strive with sincere faith, Allah will make you my companion.”
Lesson:
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us that if our intentions are pure and our faith is strong, Allah will be our companion and support us in our journey.
